Presbyterian Church Church members will participate in World Community Day, sponsored by Church Women United, on Nov. 6 at Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. Dessert will be served at 12:30 p.m. and will be followed at 1 p.m. by a program, “Piecing Earth Together.” A sing-along will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Highland Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Loving from afar isn’t really loving at all

A friend of mine was coming to a meeting in a large room with several people in it. As he came in, he said he had not been feeling well and would not sit close to anyone. I jokingly said that was a good idea and that we all love him, but we wanted to do it from a distance.
