Posted: November 4, 2009 6 a.m.Presbyterian Church Church members will participate in World Community Day, sponsored by Church Women United, on Nov. 6 at Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. Dessert will be served at 12:30 p.m. and will be followed at 1 p.m. by a program, “Piecing Earth Together.” A sing-along will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Highland Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Loving from afar isn’t really loving at all

As he came in, he said he had not been feeling well and would not sit close to anyone. I jokingly said that was a good idea and that we all love him, but we wanted to do it from a distance.
