BENTONVILLE — Tickets are moving fast for the “Flying Tomato Cabaret” that will be presented the first two weekends in November at Northwest Arkansas Community College.

The dinner show will begin at 7 p.m. Nov. 6-8 and 13-15 in the college’s Shewmaker Center for Workforce Technologies.

The event will feature a spaghetti dinner served by the NWACC Chamber Singers, who also will provide entertainment in the form of some of Broadway’s most popular songs.

Tickets are $15 each and can be reserved by calling 619-4261 or by email atscooper@nwacc.edu. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Casino night for a good cause

ROGERS - The fourth annual Ryan Murphy Casino Night will be Nov. 21 at the Elks Lodge in Rogers. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Proceeds will go to the Cancer Support Home’s colon cancer outreach program, which helps residents of Benton and Washington counties receive colon-cancer-prevention information, diagnostic screenings and patient-support services.

A membership drive for the 2010 BellaVistaWomen’s 18-hole Golf Club is under way.Applications are available at all Bella Vista golf shops and online at www.bellavistapoa.com.

Membership dues for players are $35.Social memberships are available for $20.

The season runs from March through October.

The BellaVista Lions Club will sell used golf balls from 10 a.m. to noon each Saturday in October in the Arvest Bank parking lot at the Highlands Gate.

* * * Hikes planned at Hobbs

The Ozark Hill Hikers walking club of Arkansas is sponsoring twogroup hikes with four routes on Oct. 31 at Hobbs State Park.

The hikes will be on the Hidden Diversity Multi-use Trail. One event will take place on the War Eagle Loop, while the other will be on the Dutton Hollow and Bashore Ridge loops.
