— The Bella Vista Women’s Nine-hole Golf Club wrapped up the golf year with a fall brunch Oct. 26 at the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista.

Andy Mar, head of golf operations for the Bella Vista Property Owners Association, thanked the members for their cooperation throughout the season. He also informed them about the enlargement of the No. 4 tee boxes and other items of interest.

Ruth Hatcher, the group’s recorder, presented many awards. Sandy August, Pearl Ellison and Lois Remerscheid were recognized for having perfect attendance at club events. The most improved golfers in four flights went to Anne McClintock, Ann Meekins, Rosie Moser and Ginny Milam.

Hatcher then gave awards for low gross, low net, low putts, and most pars and birdies in each of the four flights. Non-winners even received $2 bills.

Kathy Kiser gave Jane Fulkerson and Leah Tingblad each a check for being the two peo-ple who won the holein-one award.

At each of the club’s three events, tickets are sold for a 60-40 drawing, with 60 percent going to chosen charities. This year, the recipients were the Bella Vista Library and Village House Adult Day Program. Sue Kelley and Sue Tiffany won the remaining money.
