BELLA VISTA — The Bella Vista Assembly of God Women’s Ministries is preparing for its annual Chili Fiesta.

The event will be Friday, Nov. 6, with two serving schedules. Lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dinner will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The menu includes chili, potato soup, salad, homemade desserts and beverages. The cost is $7 for adults, $3for children ages 5-12, and free for children 4 and under.

Advance tickets are recommended. Tickets are available at the church office, at the Highlands branch of Arvest Bank or at the door.

Proceeds from this project will be used to support mission programs throughout the year.

The church is at 1771 Forest Hills Blvd.

Celebrate Community Day

World Community Day will be observed Nov. 6 with a program at Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd.

The local event is sponsored by Church Women United in Bella Vista. The women of Judson American Baptist Church and Highland Christian Church will serve as co-hosts.

Dessert will be served at 12:30 p.m., followed by a program at 1 p.m.

The program’s theme will be “Piecing Earth Together.” Michele Halsell, managing director of the Applied Sustainability Center at the University of Arkansas, will speak on environmental issues and provide updates on the Arkansas Chapter of Interfaith Power and Light and the Green Faith Alliance.

An in-kind offering will be collected for Restoration Ministries Inc.
