BELLA VISTA Robert James Derber, 86, of Bella Vista, , died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Concordia Care Center. He was born July 2, 1923 in Oshkosh, Wis., to Harve Derber and Bonnie Hart Derber.
He was raised in Oshkosh and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He attended Oshkosh State Teachers College and graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1949.
He married Betty Morris July 15, 1950 in Madison.
He was an electrical engineer. He lived in Hammond, Ind., and moved to Beloit, Wis., in 1952 and worked for Fairbanks-Morse for 35 years. He served as volunteer fireman in the town of Beloit for 29 years. He enjoyed wood carving as a hobby.
He retired in Bella Vista where he played Men's Nine Hole Golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Thomas Glenn Derber;
brother, David Derber;
and sister, Mary Ross.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Derber of Bella Vista; sons, Robert Derber and wife, Sue of Dawson, Ill., Scott Derber and wife Carolina of Austin, Texas, John Derber and wife Colleen of Dunkirk, Md.; daughter, Sara Brosier and husband, Marvin of Kuna, Idaho; brothers, Russell Derber of Fresno, Calif., Donald Derber of Florida, Richard Derber of Oshkosh, Wis.;
four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. An inurnment will take place at the Fayetteville National Cemetery at a later date.

Bobby Dean Clemmons, Sr., 76, of Bella Vista, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at his home. He was born Aug.
18, 1933, in Lefors, Texas to George and Mary Clemmons.
He was employed by Northern Natural Gas, Northern Petrochemical, and UPG for 33 years.
He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, the Chicago Cubs, and John Wayne movies.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Espanieta; brother, Bill Clemmons and his wife, Betty.
Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wanda Clemmons of Bella Vista; sons Charles Clemmons and wife, Pat, and Bobby Dean Clemmons, Jr. and wife Terriall of Morris, Ill.;
daughter Melissa Clemmons of Centerton, ;
brothers Eddie Clemmons and wife Anita, and Noal Clemmons and wife Linda, all of Texas;
grandchildren, Mike, Mark, Olivia, Alex, Nick, Drew, and Luke;
and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sept. 5 at the Bella Vista Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael McCauley officiating. Burial was in the Bella Vista Cemetery.

Charles A. Gailliot
Charles A. "Chuck" Gailliot, 90, of Bella Vista, died Sunday, Aug.
30, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
He was born Sept. 27, 1918, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Alex Gailliot and Rose Gailliot.
He served five years in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of captain.
He was stationed in France with the Signal Corps during World War II. He was a life member of the Military Officers Association of America.
He worked in office management for Hercules Inc., in Wilmington, Del., and Joplin, Mo. He retired from Hercules in 1977 after 31 years of service.
He and his wife, Marylyn, moved to Bella Vista in 1983, having bought property there in 1968.
They were active in various golf associations and groups in Bella Vista. He served as president of the 18-Hole Men's Golf Association and later as president of the 9-Hole Men's Golf Association and served on the Board of the Property Owners Association Golf Committee.
He was an instructor of the AARP Driver Safety Program for 22 years. He performed with the Sophisticated Ladies Plus tap dancers as one of the male participants making up the "Plus" portion of the Bella Vista tap-dance group.
He was a member of Unity Church of the Ozarks in Bella Vista. He and his wife led a Unity study group for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Marylyn Gailliot; a sister, Rosemary Furrer of West Virginia; a nephew, Greg Dorsett and his wife Joni Dorsett of Whitehall, Mich.; and a greatnephew, Scott Dorsett of Whitehall.
A memorial service was held Sept. 4 at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel.
Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Alan 'Al' Pilling
Alan "Al" Pilling, 91, of Bella Vista, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born Oct. 19, 1917, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Guy Pilling and Caroline Winslow Pilling.
He graduated from Wayne State Teachers College in Wayne, Neb., and later from Officers Candidate School at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Campaign.
He moved to Bella Vista in 1984 from Storm Lake, Iowa. He was an active member of the Bentonville First Presbyterian Church, served as a "sheriff" with the Benton County Election Commission, was active with Habitat for Humanity and was an avid golfer and Arkansas Razorbacks fan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 54 years, Jane Pilling, in 2001; two sons; a brother;
and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Judie Pilling; a son and daughter-in-law, John Pilling and Anne Pilling of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two grandchildren, Kristen Davis of Minneapolis, Minn., and Luke Pilling of St. Paul, Minn.;
four great-grandchildren; four stepchildren;
and 14 step-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sept. 2, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville, with the Rev. Arthur Fogartie officiating.
A second memorial service will be held at a later date in Storm Lake, Iowa, with inurnment at the Buena Vista Memorial Cemetery.

Francis Mueller
James Francis Mueller, 67, of Bella Vista, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born July 31, 1942, in Chicago to Francis and Mary Mueller.
He and his wife, moved to Bella Vista, in November 2002, when he retired from Fort Dearborn Litho as a lithographer.
He loved old movies, jazz music and golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents and triplet sister, Lillian Piwowarski.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolynn Mueller of Bella Vista; sons, Craig S.
Mueller of Bella Vista, Shawn T. Mueller of U.S.A.F. Misawa ABS, Japan; grandchildren, Meghan Smith and husband, Michael of Centerton, and Cameron Mueller of Twining, Mich.; sister, Rose Nolan, of Powers Lake, Wis.;
brother and sister-in-law, John and Linda Mueller of Elgin, Ill.; brother-inlaws and sister-in-laws, Richard and Lynette Rogala of Huntley, Ill., Kevin and Lauralyn Brown of McKinney, Texas; and sister-in-law, Mary Rogala of McKinney, Texas; eight nephews and one niece.

Donald L. Seba
Donald Louis Seba, 83, of Bella Vista, died at his home on Sept. 6, 2009.
He was born Aug. 15, 1926 in Lorton, Neb., to Henry G. Seba and Bertha Mitzner Seba.
He graduated from Greeley County High School, Tribune, Kan., in 1944. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1944 to 1946 with the Seabees onGuam. Following the service he attended and graduated from the University of Kansas at Lawrence.
Donald marriedMargaret Lawrence on Jan. 31, 1948.
He was a teacher and assistant coach at Highland Park High School in Topeka, Kan. He worked for the Kansas University Extension in Garden City, and later worked 27 years for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline in Kansas City, Mo., and Houston, retiring in 1984.
They moved to Bella Vista, from Overland Park, Kan. Donald was a member of the United Lutheran Church.
His hobbies included playing golf with the Slicer's golf group and woodworking. He helped build three houses in Bella Vista and made many gifts for family and friends in his workshop.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Valdo Seba; and one sister, Bertha Kuck.
Donald is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret of Bella Vista; children, Randy Seba and his wife, Linda of Lenexa, Kan., Don Seba and his wife, Cissy of Bella Vista, and Barbara Seba of Lawrence; grandchildren, Bryan Seba, Megan Coger, Zoe Forbes, Suzanne McDonald, Ian and Erik Heinerikson, Eric Springer, and Shawn Springer; great grandchildren, Matthew and Caden Springer, Joshua and Molly Springer, Connor Forbes, Evelyn and Noelle McDonald, and Boston Seba.; brothers, Gary Seba of Lubbock, Texas, Jim Seba of Tribune, Kan., and Norman Seba of Kansas City, Kan.; and sisters, Viola Jordan of Springfield, Ore., Valeta Rasmussen of Lamar, Colo. and Donna Murphy of Hulbert, Okla.

Ann Marie Vo, 49, of Pea Ridge, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at her home. She was born June 17, 1960, in North Bend, Wash., to Melvin Leonard Kvamso Sr., and Geraldine Waters Kvamso.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Kvamso Sr. and Geraldine Kvamso; an infant son, Adam Binh Vo; and a brother, Danny Kvamso.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Leslie McDaniel and Ryan McDaniel of Bentonville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Caley Vo and Haley Vo of Lowell, Elijah Vo and Ebannie Vo of Fort Worth, Texas, and LucasVo of Fayetteville; brothers, Francis B. Wonderlich of Minneapolis, Melvin Lynn Kvamso Jr. of Eureka Springs, and Erik Kvamso of Garfield; sisters, Jennifer Gasper of Andover, Kan., Patricia Kay Dean of Grove, Okla., and Tia Hesington of Bella Vista; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sept. 4 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Gordon Bezel officiating.

Victor Zoschak
Victor John Zoschak, 82, of Bella Vista, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born March 18, 1927, in Granite City, Ill.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. While in the service, he developed a passion for ships and planes, later turning it into a hobby of building model ships and planes. He won many awards for his models. He was an executive vice president of the Illinois Retail Farm Equipment Dealers Association. He retired and moved to Bella Vista 15 years ago from Peoria, Ill. He volunteered at the Maritime Museum at the Frisco Station Mall in Rogers, where he displayed his models.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgilene M. Zoschak, on June 12, 2009.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-inlaw, Victor J. Zoschak Jr. and Ellen Zoschak of Oakland, Calif., and Greg Zoschak and Pattie Zoschak of Hinton, Okla.; a sister and brother-inlaw, June Jilek and Leon Jilek of Naples, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
No local services are planned.
A service will be held at a later date in Hinton, Okla.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
