BELLA VISTA Eloise Edwards Cunningham
Eloise Edwards Cunningham, 98, of Bella Vista, died Sept. 28, 2009, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. She was born on April 18, 1911, in Sims, Ill., the daughter of Elijah Delbert Edwards and Minnie Ethel Smith Edwards.
She graduated from Presbyterian School of Nursing with an R.N. degree, attended University of Chicago and University of Wisconsin at Menasha, Wis. She was a registered nurse at Presbyterian Hospital (Chicago) and health care director at Appleton Wireworks in Appleton, Wis.
She moved to Rogers, from Appleton, where she was an active member of the First Christian Church D. of C. There she served as church treasurer and elder and was on other committees.
She moved to Bella Vista in 2000, where she was a member of Highlands Christian Church.
She enjoyed family, church, and playing bridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin S. Cunningham in 1985.
Eloise is survived by sons, Edwin (Sandra) of Fargo, N.D, and Allan S.
(Linda) of Cooperstown, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services are planned at Highland Christian Church at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.

Ruth E. Peacock
Ruth E. Peacock, formerly of Bella Vista, died Sept. 18, 2009, at her home in Columbia, Md.
She was born Dec. 3, 1918, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas R. Roberts and Bertha Beal Roberts.
She graduated from Decorah High School in Iowa in 1936, having been active in interscholastic debate and the school paper. In 1940 she graduated from Luther College in Decorah, with a major in English and a minor in art. An active member of the College Chips newspaper staff, she became its managing editor. For four years she was a varsity debater and participated in Pi Kappa Delta national debate tournaments in North Carolina in 1938 and in Knoxville, Tenn., in 1940.
She received her M.A.
degree in English at the University of Iowa in 1941, attending on a Wesley Foundation scholarship.
She taught speech, art, and debate at the Le Mars High School in 1941-42, and English, speech, and debate at the University High School in Iowa City, Iowa, in 1942-43.
On June 18, 1943, she married Paul E. Peacock in Decorah. Her son Dennis E. Peacock was born in Radford, Va., on March 28, 1944. Her son James D. Peacock was born in Plainfield, N.J., on Jan. 14, 1951. While in New Jersey, she taught college English for several years at Union College in Cranford, and was active in the American Association of University Women.
She moved to Denver in 1972 to live with her sister Lucile Roberts.
During her time in Denver she worked on the administrative staffs of Rose Medical Center and United Press International, among others.
From May 1989 to August 1995, she lived in Bella Vista, becoming active in community life.
Her church was the Bella Vista First United Methodist Church. An avid Book Club member, she often reviewed books at the library and on the community television channel, and enjoyed continued membership in the American Association of University Women. She was a member of the library board responsible for building the Bella Vista Library.
In August of 1995, she moved to Columbia, Md., to be near her son James.
She was active in the Christ United Methodist Church in Columbia, and participated in Columbia Association committees related to senior services.
She was preceded in death by her son Dennis and her husband. Survivors include her son James and her sisters: Col. Lucile M. Roberts, Ret., and Mary Margaret Roberts, Ph.D., of Bella Vista, Arkansas.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Oct. 3, at the Christ United Methodist Church, 7246 Craderock Way, Owen Brown Interfaith Center, Columbia, Md.
Memorials may be given to the Christ United Methodist Church, Columbia, Md.; the Bella Vista First United Methodist Church; the Bella Vista Library; or the charity of one's choice.

Casey Wayne Russell
Casey Wayne Russell, 17, of Gravette died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at Children's Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on Aug. 12, 1992, in Austin, Texas, to Blaine Russell and Lori
n g Russell.
He was raised in Texas and moved to G r a v e t t e in 2000.
He was currently a junior at G r a v e t t eHigh School. Casey was active with Health Occupation Students of America, The "National Honor Society," "Who's Who among American Students," high school football and baseball. He was also a member of East Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and antagonizing his sisters. He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Noel, Mo.
He is survived by his parents, J. Blaine and Lori L. Russell of Gravette; paternal grandparents, Thomas Ivan Russell and Cecilia Russell of Wimberley, Texas; maternal grandparents, Edwin M.
Knight III, and Luellen Knight of Dripping Springs, Texas; sisters Lindsey Rae Russell and Lana Nicole Russell of Gravette; aunt Annette Moltz and her husbandSam; uncle Wade Russell;
aunt Jenifer Tacquard;
cousins Danielle Fuselier and husband Brian of Woodland, Texas and Darren Moltz of Spring, Texas.
A mass of the resurrection was held Sept. 28 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, with Father Hank Grodecki, C.M. officiating.
Burial was at the Bethel Cemetery in Gravette.

Ken Vogras
Ken Vogras, of Bella Vista, , formerly of Plymouth, Mich., started his journey home on Sept.
26, 2009, after a long battle with lung cancer.
Ken worked for the City of Plymouth for over 35 years and was the director of public works for 25 years and 10 years with the Sewer and Water Director of west Bloomfield Township, Mich., prior to his retirement in 2001. Ken loved to golf and was a member of the Wild Men,The Duffers and The Jelly Bellies.
Ken is survived by his wife Deanna, who he married in August 1985;
daughter, Jackie (Jim) Kilmartin; son, Loren (Gail) Vogras; step-son Scott (Kristin) Bennett, step-daughter Shannon (Rick) Smith; nine grandchildren, Anthony and Doug Kilmartin, Lisa Vogras, Jason, Michael, Jeffrey and Matthew Bennett, Allen and Karla Smith and seven greatgrandchildren; sister, Carol (Ken) Hilley, sisters-in-law Patt (Orin) Ribar and Kay (Bo) Rhudy, brothers-in-law John (Jackie) Wohn, Ron (Joyce) Wohn, also some very special nephews and nieces.
A memorial services will be held at the Bella Vista Community Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct.
3, with the Rev. Richard Lindman officiating.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
